Your Right to Delete Your Data
At Hookline, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
What Data We Store
When you use Hookline, we store the following data:
- Account Information: Email address, name, company, role, and profile information
- Connected Ad Accounts: Meta and TikTok ad account IDs, names, and OAuth access tokens
- Ad Performance Data: Ad creatives, performance metrics (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions), and metadata
- AI-Generated Content: Scripts, insights, and analyses generated from your ad data
- Reports: Weekly intelligence reports and historical data
- Usage Data: Logs of your interactions with the Service
How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: Delete via Account Settings
- Sign in to your Hookline account
- Navigate to your Account Settings
- Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
- Click "Delete My Account" and confirm
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to privacy@hookline.app
- Include the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Provide your account email address
- Optionally, specify if you want to delete all data or only specific data
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days
What Happens When You Delete Your Data
⚠️ Important Information
- Permanent Deletion: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
- Account Deletion: Deleting your account will remove all your data, including connected ad accounts, ads, scripts, and reports
- Processing Time: Data deletion is processed within 30 days of your request
- Third-Party Services: We will revoke access to your Meta and TikTok accounts and delete stored OAuth tokens
- Backup Data: Some data may remain in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion
Data Deletion for Meta/Facebook Users
If you connected your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising account to Hookline:
- We will immediately revoke our access to your Meta ad accounts
- All ad performance data we collected from Meta will be deleted
- OAuth tokens will be permanently removed from our systems
- You can also revoke access directly in your Facebook Business Settings
Data Deletion for TikTok Users
If you connected your TikTok advertising account to Hookline:
- We will immediately revoke our access to your TikTok ad accounts
- All ad performance data we collected from TikTok will be deleted
- OAuth tokens will be permanently removed from our systems
- You can also revoke access directly in your TikTok Business Center settings
Partial Data Deletion
If you only want to delete specific data (e.g., just your scripts or reports), you can:
- Delete individual items (scripts, reports) from within the application
- Disconnect specific ad accounts without deleting your entire account
- Contact us at privacy@hookline.app for custom deletion requests
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request:
- If you request via email, we may ask you to confirm from the email address associated with your account
- We may ask for additional verification if the request comes from an unrecognized email address
- This verification helps prevent unauthorized deletion of your data
